The mirrors can be turned off but it is a visit to the dealer. As for the fouling of the mirrors on the door, can you not put the mirror clamps on the top of the mirror, my Aeros will hit the doors if mounted on the bottom of the mirror hence now mounting them on the top. |

You could remove the fuses FA1 & FA2 (in the boot) but you would loose all controls to the mirrors.

Thanks for the help, taking the fuse out sounds like the best bet, Tried to fit mirrors on the top of car mirrors but cant get a sound fixing. So for trip tomorrow i will take the fuses out. Thanks for help. |

Removing the fuse might also disable the electric windows but as a short term thing it would be ok.

Which mirrors are you fitting If they are the ones such as Milenco's you may find it easier to bend the arm of the mirror to follow the contour of the top of your Freelander mirror |
