Aldwark manor nice pool with side hot bubbly pool, certainly cured my hangover the morning of my wedding Laughing.
Also spa treatments etc for Mrs Dave or even for you (body wax Shocked )

nice bar and restaurant in the hotel or if you want to get out of the hotel without driving the local pub does good food 200 yards away http://www.aldwarkarms.co.uk/. otherwise there are many good pubs in the area.

Easy access to York and Harrogate if your looking for something to do, Ripon Land Rover 10 miles away when/if your D4 spits its bits out.

push for a room in the old part of the hotel, avoid the honeymoon suite as I well 'honeymooned' in there Mr. Green

A mate of mine had his wedding in the same hotel, the service in the village church, he was late to the church as the hotel lift got stuck and a service engineer had to release him Laughing At work

Hi Dace
Another one to consider is http://www.swintonpark.com/

Seems expensive but we had a great stay there for the Wife’s last milestone Birthday (Seems there all milestones when it comes to her birthdays Big Cry )

Great rooms, food out of this world, loads of spa treatments for Mrs Dave and you can even book the spa, sauna and steam room for private use !
Go on spoil her Thumbs Up

I love the Waterside Rooms at Langdale Hotel.
Tried to go this year as we are in the UK for a while but they wouldn't let our little man in there as it backs onto a lovely river. (health n safety was the reason)

They have a huge indoor pool area. Restaurant and even a brill pub a short walk away.

Probably too far away from the Cumbria/Yorkshire border though.

She is fully agreeable to the wheels Thumbs Up and as even suggested that all involved will receive the sacred ginger cakes, this includes my advisor from the south and my courier from the not so far south

Guy's,

Thanks to all of you who have recommended some hotels to stay at. You have given me & Mrs Dave some food for thought.

Cheers Thumbs Up

Hi Dave

one that I can highly recommend - we have stayed here on and off over 25 years - family run (by same family all that time). We have never been disappointed.

Its just outside Hawes so you can take in a bit of green laning as well!

http://www.stonehousehotel.co.uk/ There's always a way forward!
