Evoque - years allocation is sold out already

Evoque already has its first year's allocation sold Shocked

Will prices go up if investors sell at a premium?

The first Evoque - the new baby Range Rover - rolled off Land Rover's production lines at the company's Halewood factory in Merseyside yesterday (July 4) - but the first year's allocation has already been sold.

Perhaps they can only make 50 of them each year! Haha

Not for me, but good luck to them, I wish them every success. Just a couple of thoughts:

1. Do you think that they might have sold out another 6 month's production if Victoria Beckham hadn't been involved?

2. Being so fashionable and desirable, I wonder if it will be taking sales away from the upmarket versions of BMW's fading star, the MINI?

I'd say that V Beckham suits this kind of car and it would attract that sort of chav.. I mean person.
Personally, I didn't like it when I saw it at Goodwood.

But for Land Rover, I hope it is a success and to (potentially) take sales away from BMW can only be a good thing.

Personally, having seen a few in real life, I like the look of it. I can see why they've made it so stylish and I'm sure it'll do the off road thing as well as the Freelander, while the improved mpg and emissions would be very welcome. However, it loses so much that attracted me to the Freelander in the first place: the nice tall boot, the great visibility, the huge glass area, the "compact Disco" feel of it. With the sacrifices that the Evoke has had to make for style, it's made it useless as far as I'm concerned, but then it was never aimed at people like me!

If it robs sales from the likes of the laughable and completely hideous MINI Countryman, then it will make me very happy indeed Laughing

Not true you can still order an evoque and get it this year. As I have just placed an order for one. Delivery date 24/12/11. Only had the freelander a year but decided to take the plunge and trade in. Placed order when it was the LRX concept, then went off it, and the facelift freelander came along so bought one but the more publicity the Evoque gets the more I want one. Really like my Fl2 though. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
