Mines been through the washer-no adverse effects, I think they are a sealed unit, I just took the key out and shook the water out of there |

Certain I read something in the manual about it being waterproof. Don't have a FL2 now (loved it so much I got a Disco 4) but it was def in the manual for the 1st year models. |

When I went on a LR Experience day last year the first thing the instructor did was throw the fob into a bowl of water to prove it was waterproof !! |

Mine was in the washing machine for 25 minutes. It lost it's charge I think, as it will not open or close the car on demand. In took a 10 minute drive (the fob operates the car, it just not opens the doors) and when In got back it closed the doors. It now does not open them again. Maybe I need to let it dry a bit longer? Or take a longer trip so it charges better? what do you guys think? I hope I will not have to get a new one... |

Depends what mobile. I fell in a lake once off a boat with a brand new Nokia. Took the battery and SIM out, put it under a hand dryer and it was okay. Indus Silver
