I've ordered an SD4 in Orkney grey and did some research before paying my deposit. it is lighter than Stornoway and is in fact the same colour as Jaguar Lunar Grey - this has been confirmed to me by Land Rover HQ who spoke to the factory. I went to look at a Jaguar in Lunar grey (one of our local dealers is Jaguar/Land Rover) and was happy with what I saw. I prefer it to Stornoway which looks a bit brown in certain light. I would describe it as more like a very dark silver - in fact the Mini is available in a colour called Dark Silver which looks similar, although I obviously haven't seen the two next to each other. Also, I saw a dealer on another forum (Range Rover I think) describe Lunar as a shade lighter than Stornoway. It suits me as my last eight cars have been silver and I don't want to stray too far! |
