Wales 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey
my2011/my2010

whilst killing time in the landrover dealership yesterday, had a good look at the new gs,with the new style bumper, shiney bit on boot, and front spats, which i must say after a good look at them,on my back to see how the fixed, can say they would not remain on mine for long, with off roading i do, Shocked . there was no rear entertainment mode,my son uses this loads, esp as the wifes in to take that mode after seeing them,no footwell lights,no puddle lights{under doors}and no spare wheel, tyre weld,........so a slight downgrade,i know the gs was slightly upgraded before the latest one was released, and was very close to the xs spec. Current: Freelander 2 GS, Orkney Grey, Factory fit privacy glass, design pack and Clearview pack. Almond Leather ,rear spoiler, rear mudflaps.my13.

Gone:Freelander 2, GS, "61"

Gone: Freelander 2, GS.e, "59"

Gone: Freelander 2, S, "08"

To be fair the XS does have a good number of things that the GS doesn't but I chose GS because there was nothing on the models above I needed and the GS is the best model for balancing price and equipment.

I agree though that the GS was upgraded somewhat and I love the Alpine audio system with subwoofer and bluetooth. I also added the cold climate pack.

As for the shape difference it is MY10 FTW. I prefer the more aggressive front end of the MY10 to the neater lines of the MY11. I do not dislike the front of the MY11 as such but the chrome ar Censored e is something I cannot take to.

Very pleased with the off roading abilities too having taken mine off roading a number of times recently. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Must admit at first I wasn't to keen on the chrome rear but when you put 11my next to 10my the chrome rear end looks alot better. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

It's hideous the chrome strip. MY10 looks way better. LR ruined the MY11 with it. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Time will tell - and - as The Doctor is (well he professes to be) a time lord, so he must be right.

Yes - the chrome rectum is a colossal chronic cicatrix.
