I am off to Scotland for a week by train. Its a family holiday and me and my sister and brother-in-law are going on the train whilst my mum and dad drive up. My dads Audi will be getting the long haul treatment rather than my FL2.(we need a car to get about once we are there)

The journey north of Newcastle can be very nice to see the train travels quite close to the east coast - so lots of sea visible and interesting hills and things. 2002 Honda VFR800

St Andrews. We have been there many times. It's not that we are into golf, we just love the place. We get over to Dundee for some shopping as well. Funnily enough, Stratstone Nottingham when sorting my car out found the right spec car for me from Stratstone Cupar which is close by. We have driven past it a number of times when we have been up there. Here is the caravan site we are staying at (we have hired Brecon Lodges): http://craigtounmeadows.co.uk/ Great park LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |

Midges aren't a problem (perhaps because we are on the coast). In all the years we have been to St Andrews we have never suffered from Midges. The Highlands is another story though. Last year we were in Banff and travelled to the Glenfiddich distillery. Awesome place and some awesome scenery there. I purchased a nice bottle of 18 year old Glenfiddich whilst there, lovely stuff. Valley of the deer it translates as. There was a 50 year old malt for sale at £10,000 LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |
