It's always hard buying a very rare used vehicle, because you have no frame of refrence for what is "right" with the one you just purchased.

Very true it is really a "ground" wire - but we don't really want our engines coming into contact with ground either just as the earth is to be avoided too.

Simple answer don't off-road
