Xenon lights for MY2011

I have got Halogen projector type lights. Is it possible just to change the bulbs to Xenons? If not it is possible to just swap Halogens with these?

Looking at that eBay advert I think that what is on offer is a standard Xenon unit and not the better more expensive "Adaptive Xenon" unit. My advise is to email the seller and ask for confirmation.

And, why not ask FreeL2's resident technical expert (Alex) re if you can just slot them into your FL2 to replace the existing Halogen units without any further Canbus or ECU adaptations - just to be on the safe side. Exclamation

England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

I've got a MY11 with standard rather than adaptive Xenon. The main problem between Xenon and the Halogen projector lamps is that the Xenon have automatic levelling while the projectors have manual level adjustment. I don't believe it is a simple matter of changing the bulbs due to the difference in levelling systems and requirement for Xenon to have self levelling and headlamp washers.

As far as swapping the complete unit is concerned. Again it will come down to whether or not it is possible to fit self levelling and Alex the resident expert can probably provide the definitive answer.
