Yorkshire Game Fair - May Bank holiday weekend

Anyone planning on going to the Yorkshire Game fair this coming bank holiday weekend at Harewood House (Sunday or Monday)?

Noticed tickets changing hands last year between McP and ToeKnee.

Got a complimentary family pass from my favourite LR dealer last weekend. Not sure what I have done to get some many freebies from them - its worrying......... but I will enjoy it anyway.

DR There's always a way forward!

Hi McP

is that were they have the motor museum that has the tiny car that featured in the kids TV program? Brum I think it was called.... came to life at night when everyone had gone home.

Worth if trip if it is still there - as you say lovely village if a little busy!!

Hopefully the sun will be out and you can watch the trout in the stream running through the village.... Thumbs Up There's always a way forward!

Have pencilled in Sunday to go down with Mrs Toeknee, enjoyed it the last couple of years (Thanks to McP for the tickets last year) and if the weathers right will be a cracking day, plenty to see and enough stalls to keep the Mrs happy and usually different foods to try. I think you can even try your hand at the different styles of shooting including muskets as well as clay shooting (might give that a miss Embarassed )
What day you going DR will keep an eye open for you if its Sunday

Quick question back on thread... is the show any good? I also got a free family pass and might take the family, 2 boys, 8&5. Will they like it? Do you get access to the grounds and play area? Any feedback will be really appreciated.

cheers

Hi Kershaw 39

Not sure about the grounds and play area, but will be loads to see and do, lots of gun dog displays, usually Birds of Prey demos in the central ring as well as other displays . LR Experience where there last year, think you may have had to pre book or was a freebie with the local LR dealer. Lots of stalls and a few of the shooting organisations. If you and the kids like the outdoors and the countryside I think you will enjoy the day.

There's a small aircraft museum nearby. Stream running through the village = think that's Bourton on the water which is just a short drive away and a definate visit Thumbs Up

Yes Bourton on the Water is the home of "Brum" But Bourton gets very busy during the summer with many many visitors from across The Pond.
