If it's the same as the "old" LR Caspian Blue (from the mid-80's) that I think is what is being referenced here:

I've posted some pictures provided by VIKING of the Caspian Blue colour swatch (next to Baltic Blue, Stornoway Grey and Sumatra Black) in my gallery. |

FL2 Disco`s and RR seem to look good in a wider range of colours than almost any other brand of vehicle. ..not sure why ,i would never have gone for Tonga green with any other brand almost went for Tambora flame ! but chickened out. You prefer bright colours ?.....Stornoway Grey ? |

Yes G69 ... I DO prefer bright colours, but there really weren't any in the range I had to chose from in May. Even the red is sort of dullish. So I chose Stornaway Grey cos it at least looked good in a variety of light conditions, and doesn't show the dirt like black. I nearly went for white, maybe light rather than bright, but chickened out. Tambora Flame looked great in good showroom lighting, but much less so in some lights when it almost looked gold.

Was just wondering when it was looking that I might end up having to replace my poorly Tambora Flame, as ithe colour's no longer available to order so I was wondering what colour I would go for as an alternative. Happy to say, looks like it's going to pull through so not an issue. The silver FL2 in my gallery is a Land Rover Experience one. |

Have you seen Caspian Blue? If not, go into Night Fox'es gallery and see it there. Caspian blue is NOT a very light metallic blue. It is rather on the darker side, but I think it is more precise to say it is a DEEPER blue metallic, -a little bit on the darker side. Wow, I am looking forward to get my Caspian Blue FL2 in December. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack. |

Caspian is a vibrant blue. Much lighter than baltic blue. Sorry 4 the confusion. Hard to describe. Much like the blue headers on this forum Live your life be free-lander |
