Wiper blades

I seem to be getting through a set of wiper blades every 5 months, anyone else find this? I use genuine blades too and there cleaned regularly.

I think a set every five months is excessive, indeed I can't se why unless you are using something nasty in the wash bottle. That said, Land Rover Genuine blades may well be of non-standard rubber that gives a better wipe but wears quicker (this is what I was told regarding Disco blades, which seemed to need changing every year). I currently have a set of cheapo blades from e-bay and they are fine. And have lasted two years so far, so maybe that's the way to go.

FYI - Just bought some genuine LR one's and they have 'Valeo' stamps all over them Rolling Eyes

Pmaster - tried cheapies on the past and I wasn't lucky like you - I got the set that go 'squaaark' one way and then 'dadadadada' the other Evil or Very Mad Rolling Eyes

I have done 17000 miles in 5 months tho! Also I did use some IPA for screen wash when it was cold but that was on the last blades. These were fitted mid January!

I have, the worse blades I have ever used, only had them on for a week or so, god knows why but they are still in the garage if you want them, they were the only blades I have ever known to screetch when you used them in the rain and when the screen was dry they were silent, and the faster you drove the worse they were Thud
