Vibration in gas pedal immediately after moving the car

Dear all,

got a strange feedback for my 1 month old FL2. At every engine start, at the door looking speed, i feel 2 vibrations (read shocks) in the gas pedal. Tried to check if it's linked to door locking mechanism, but deactivating this produce the same efect. Anyone experiencing a similar issue?

Thanks MY2011 SD4 Kosrae Green

Could be a valve/actuator inside the HCU (hydraulic control unit) from the ABS that is doing some action/calibration. You are feeling it through the bulkhead center panel.
I have a similar manifestation in my lady's VW Polo. It comes only once, not twice like on your case, at about 5 kph, after first start of engine, only for the first time the car starts to move.
It happens only on the cars equipped with ESP (similar with DSC). But all FL2s have DSC by default.

After 3months of investigation I can categorically tell you that this is normal. I don't like the fact my11 HSE does this when my08 SE didn't. It's the ABS self check. I had a very interesting conversation with a LR technical manager about it on Wednesday.
