Caravan coming

There must be a wealth of info on here for me to tap into.

Basically we are joining the Feely ranks and are seriously considering a Caravan to make the most of it!!

So, were should we start, we have around a £7k budget, 2 Adults and 8 year old, part time kids could go in awning if needed?
Do we spend ages looking at loads, what are the pitfalls, what do we need to consider?

Your valuable pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thumbs Up

Dont know it follows, buy FL2, then buy caravan! Caravans are pretty base when compared to a 4 star hotel, plus there is the chemical toilets, 1psi power shower in something like a plastic bag in a cupboard, sleeping where you eat, waving at fellow vanners, barbeques with sausages, I cringe! Vanning is for the morally bunkrupt.

IF you were hoping for sensible replies, then I will start the ball rolling.

Search places like the caravanclub.co.uk for general valid advice.

Search caravanfinder.co.uk for info on actual caravans, where you will also be able to watch short videos of various caravans.

Our caravan makes a 4 star hotel look base!!! - we have a dedicated walk-in shower we plenty of hot water.
decent central heating, proper cooker with oven, fridge etc. We certainely don't rough if. And some of the super places one can camp at with fine views from the double glazed windows.......I could go on but will let others help you more.

You need to look at as many as possible to decide on your layout, I made a mistake and changed a year later to a more appropriate layout

I bought new each time as I found a lot of the older van were quite dark and not with a young/modern enough style of interior.

With a eight year old look towards a rear area table which make in to bed, that wau you can be upfront and they can be at the table at the back, been grumpy and moody away from the drinks at the front Whistle Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Npinks is spot on, Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
we have a double dinette ( table at each end which makes a 2 double beds and it work really well, with our little one) because she can go to bed early and I get time to read the Land rover magazine and if she wakes up early she can look after herself for an hour ??
