Just got in from some "alonetime" with my precious.
I mounted a rearview camera and had to remove some of the trim and when I got to the rear post where the speakers on my Alpine HI-ice is mounted I looked at the back of the element.........."Land Rover PHILIPS"!!!!! WTF!!! So they brand the covers with Alpine and put Philips behind them!

Well if that is the case who will be the first to sue under mis descriptions Alpine was as strangely I was talking to my neighbour about it today one of the selling points for me & I will be less than impressed if that is the case. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.

I have only checked the ones on the d-pillar so maybe the ones in the doors are Alpine? Or maybe it's just the headunit.

Philips are a major supplier to Alps Electronics (Alpine) there are probably more Philips components that Alps ones in the system.

Some Canon cameras have Sony sensors, Freelanders have Ford engines with a LR badge stuck on.

Branding is exactly that, it is a name used under licence, it may have little or nothing to do with the name itself.
