Both of mine have never worked ever since i've had her, so as soon as I get a bit of time I'll follow a few of these steps and see if I can get them both working BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

I prised out a rear audio control panel, and sure enough, the plug that was supposed to go to the socket was just loose. Remove both control panels and the plastic panel they both fit into otherwise there isn't enough room to get your fingers in. Plugged it in, works fine. Brilliant! |

Reviving a semi old thread. My aux socket isn't there, think it's been pushed through or something and neither of my cigarette sockets work. On the subject of removing the audio panel, is it just a case of finding something to fit in the gap and just "encouraging" it out?

Prized out the rear audio ports and the lighter was connected, I found that the aux socket had had a cable snapped off into it and just been pushed through into the center console. Disconnected it and ordered a replacement from dan at duckworths, it arrived yesterday so I plugged it all back in and my aux is working now 👌🏻

The front socket in our freelander has never worked, plus the ring which retains the plug has broken so it drops done into the console.

That's tne sort of thing, however I was hoping to find one which fits in the original circular cutout hole. I will keep searching!

That's actually really useful. My front one is very temperamental and as I only use it for USB devices this makes a lot of sense. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Wee update here. Bought one of the ones similar to the eBay one linked to, but it was located in UK so came within a couple of days. Fitted and working perfectly.
