They are offering Sumatra Black as an alternative and that was the original metallic black offered on F2 at launch - the solid black was Narvik. Isn't the order lead time for new FL2 approximately 3+mths unless the dealer already has one in his order book already?

So my question is taztastic: Is it that your dealer has not got access to one (Red or Black or Blue), or are you saying that in the whole UK market there are no reds, blacks, or blues coming off the production line now or in the next few months?

If the latter is the case then the subject of "Business Disaster Management" has been badly neglected by both the paint producers and the car manufacturers re this commodity.

As an aside I was quoted 3 weeks ago a lead time of 5mths for a new D4 of my specification for delivery here in Switzerland.

I have asked if he still has the cancelled Sport LE in red he offered me a couple of weeks back, bit expensive for me but may be worth biting the bullet.

Fuzzkaz, they still have it and I woulod love it, but they wont give me a decent price, £100 over my budget, so boring colour for me I think

You could try land rover Stafford, they might have a red one in, I say that because I ordered it, but got fed up with them not calling me about it's delivery date, so in the end I got one from somewhere else, then of course 24 hours after I got mine they rang me at last to say it had arrived.
To be honest they offered me a great part ex on my car £1000 more than book, and better than I could get anywhere else so they might be worth a try if they still have it. I just got fed up with them not calling me and keeping me informed about what was going on, pity really as they seemed nice people. SD4 Sport LE Firenze Red - no options or modifications yet, but it's early days.
