I found a place that sells tyres at a good price!

Re: Continental Dross Contact UHP 235/60x18 tyres

I called around many places around Perth for a quote for the above tyres. The cheapest was $490 and the most expensive was $529 each Shocked
So I contacted a few tyre dealers over East and was pleased to find a dealer in NSW that can do them for $280 each delivered.
They arrived after a week and I am getting them fitted tomorrow, but overall after fitting, I would say I have saved around $700 Very Happy Very Happy

The tyre place is called:

Taleb Tyres - Ask for Mick
www.talebtyres.com.au

They also sell other various brands. ie: Cooper, Bridgestone etc. in various sizes as they said that they distribute to other tyre dealers in Australia. So give them a chance to quote you, you may be surprised... like me Thumbs Up

I'm sure there are many more tyre dealers as cheap as these but I had great service and they responded to my queries quickly.

As a fellow Perth-ite - Hello!

Thanks for the tip, but in the words of Paul Clitheroe (Money) "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is!"

Saving nearly 50% per tyre has me asking "what's missing?"

Do they have the neccessary marking (e-mark) on them for ADR compliance?

Cheers

Hi there,

I hear ya... I thought I would take a punt! Cool

My other quote I had over east was for $250 ea delivered, but when I came to order them, they had sold out and there was a 6 week wait, so Taleb tyres (originally quoted me $300 but got them down!) are not the only cheap tyre dealer over east.

The tyres have the DOT mark on them and are original, un-used tyres. Slightly different tread pattern to my old ones but they look the same on all the Continental websites and are 107W Extra Load instead of just 103V.
Made in '08, but that wasn't that long ago. I believe Continental may have stopped making them around then as I am finding that these are now not made anymore?

They have the 'E' and 'e' marks on them with the same number as the original tyres I have (although one original tyre has no e-mark shown at all!)
