Australia 2007 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Tambora Flame

I was always of the impression that imported cars were taxed excessively to ensure that the home-made Fords and Holdens were more price appealing in comparison. Sounds like a feasible story to me, but don't k now the actual truth. 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Rimini Red

Realspeed, judging from the 'Please emigrate to Oz' programmes on TV average wages are lower than the UK, even if in a lot of places houses are cheaper.....Freelanders appear to be a lot more expensive than UK in real terms, sorry Aussies! Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

Ireland 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Baltic Blue

It's the same the whole world over.

Here in Ireland the "S" model (almost but not quite a UK "GS" spec) cost €46,000, three years ago.

Today, it's about €38,500 - but that is still £34,000 Sterling! Thud Perhaps they ship via Aus?

ROI = Rip Off Ireland

And just try getting a Stealer to import a particular spec for you... Censored
