United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black
New car discount?

I'm looking at changing my 57 plate HSE TD4 manual with 38K on the clock for an equivalent new car (possibly an SD4 rather than TD4, not sure yet).

I've been offered £16K for mine and £1600 off of the new car list price (standard spec).

Interested on your thoughts on both the price for mine and for the discount level off of the new one? Drivethedeal dot com suggests that discounts of ~£3000 are achievable do you have any experience of either getting this kind of level of discount or that particular website?

Mark

BTW, yes CG I'm thinking of moving from Stornoway Grey to Santorini Black.

Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Mauritius Blue

I was recently in a similar position to yourself. I decided to sell privately which can drag on.

Eventually I got in touch with site sponsors Lookers Park Royal and salesman Jeremy Jackson who put in place an offer which I could not refuse on an HSE TD4.

It was even well worth the trip from Glasgow and back as nobody came near them.

Give them a call, you may be very surprised, and feedback to the forum your experience.

Mark,

Discounts levels tend to fluctuate depending on the levels of available stock in the network. We would be more than happy to look at a deal with you, and note from your location that the journey to collect would not be quite as far as Trawlermans (or NPinks!).

The discount you have been offered does not sound unreasonable, however the PX price is perhaps a little light. All depends on condition, colour spec etc.

Please feel free to give one of the team a call or send me an email (however I will be off site tomorrow).

James Thumbs Up

Mine is Santorini Black.
So okay, if you don't look after it, it shows every imperfection. The colour does need a bit more attention, but i think it looks great. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
