Anyone know how to recharge a key that is completely dead? I know it recharges in the ignition but my spare key will not charge. Starts the vehicle and unlocks the steeering column just fine, but won't allow the use of the buttons.

I have known that since the vehicle was new. The thing is I never used that spare key but a few times. Nearly all my driving has been done with the first key, therefore the spare key lost it's charge. I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop. Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun. 2008 Freelander2/LR2 -Rimini Red 2005 Freelander -Bonatti Gray -EBC front brake rotors -DAP-Inc.
