Off road driving?

I live in north Wales and want to see what my FL2 will do offroad.
Does anyone know of anything in my area?

Cheers

Bala off road centre, about £30 and caters for all types.

Did the FL2 struggle at all? Just don't want to turn up and find everyone using hardcore 4x4's!!

United Kingdom

Can't speak for Bala but the majority of sites have "green, red and Black" routes of varying difficulty.

Green routes are for showroom cars - well possibly not X3's, not designed to damage but driving through a 300mm deep pond with 50mm of ice on top WILL damage paintwork Big Cry

Red routes are for lightly modified cars - ie mud tyres, parts driveable with caution.

Black routes = bring a winch, shovel, and expect some damage.

Not saying you will get stuck, but there are usually lots of helpful people with tow ropes (and cameras).
Do wear wellies/old clothing if the weather has been wet.

If it looks too much, stop - watch someone else and make your own mind up.

Please do a LR experience day first - get some proper advice on the capabilities of your car without the risk of damaging yours.

This is what Freelanders were meant to do (at Eastnor)
Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Struggle? The picture of me above in the ruts is a perfect example of the Freelander excelling! Two possibly three disco 3's got stuck before i just drove on through! You will impress yourself, and everyone else with what the FL2 can do!.. I've done Rockingham, Bala, Strata Florida, and Sarn Helen. You might feel a little odd at the start, but at the end you'll impress all.
