Changing a seat - airbag light implication???

Hi, I'm changing my two front seats to a couple of leather heated one's I picked up on fleaBay.

Will I have to be careful with regards to accidently kicking off the airbag lights?

Thanks for any advice.

Jim

Supposing that the airbags of the new seats are problems free, there will be no trouble.
Just work with the battery disconnected and all will be fine.
The idea is that the system is(will) not (be) powered up in order for the airbag ECU to make the autoself test and see that the airbags are not there.
After disconnection, wait for about 5-10 minutes, because the airbag system has some capacitors that will hold an electrical charge for the airbag deployment in the case that the airbag system power supply gets disconnected in the event of a crash. That electrical charge will be used to deploy the airbags and needs to be drain before working on the airbag system.
