Paint Code ?

I've bought some black side tubes from ebay and they are new, but there are a couple of deep scratches on them. Anyone know what touch-up paint colour code would be best ? (matt black I think ?). There are so many different black touch up pens on ebay !! Thanks !

not sure there is a paint code for the side tubes, but i believe they are class as "satin black"

I used hammerite on my 2nd off road set to good effect, i havent tried anything on my best set of tubes (yes i have two sets Embarassed )

To be honest i think you'll be doing every weekend if your touching them up as they will always suffer from chips due to the position of them Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

100% agree with npinks. Wait for them to get really bad and then visit a local body shop and get a price for a re-paint of the tubes (with tougher paint if there's such a thing).

Do the tubes get in the way of getting in and out of the car ? Will they make the wife's jeans dirty is the main question I suppose !!?

Tubes are nowhere near the extension of the steps (obviously) and i think you'll have no trouble avoiding catching them as you get out.

Cheers,
