My brake discs are looking a little worn (there is a noticeable lip on the outer edge) so I'm guessing I'll need to change them. Have no idea when (if) they were every changed.

I would do them both together, discs do have a minimum thickness however I don't know what it is on a freelander 2, should be stamped around the edge. 2009 FL2 GS

To change the brake pads front and rear should only take just over an hour, if you have a ramp about 45 minutes,

If your discs are two thirds worn then i would change both pads and discs or when your discs reach the wear limits you will need to replace discs and pads even if they are only part worn |
