Landrover Jack?

Just bought a brand-new jack from a main dealer to go with my newly-aquired spare wheel.

Well it looks like a Freelander jack from the pictures I have seen... Trevor

Well, who exactly and how much?

Sure 1300kgs is enough?

Some fly dealer shoved a Volvo jack in a LR box?

Sir, would you like a new style alloy wheel a la Volvo?

Came from LR parts to dealer (ordered it Thursday, picked it up Friday), box was sealed until I opened it at home. £22.60 incl VAT. Cheaper than ebay.

It's either a LR jack with the wrong label and not a Volvo jack at all, or Volvo use the same jack and it has the wrong label, or it has been mis-packed in Spain. Whichever way it will be sorted next week - I'd have been less certain of that if I bought it from ebay. Trevor

Don't worry about it, its the correct one, Volvo and ford stickers are all over your freelander if you have a good look, But Just look how flimsy that jack is, I ditched mine for a proper one, my bottle jack takes 6 pumps & 30 seconds to lift the car the landrover one takes ages to wind up via that flimsy handle.

Picture the scene..... Censored down, total darkness on pitch black on an unlit section of the M55 with an off side puncture, 40t trucks skiming you as you wind that tin pot jack up!!! Whistle

Thanks, it's all right I never go on the M55! Wink

The small bottle jacks I have seen don't have enough lift Anything I have seen with enough lift weighs about 10 kilos. Trevor
