Luggage cover rattle

Hi,

Newbie here. I bought a FL2 almost a year ago. I love it.
It's been back to the dealer for a few things but there's one problem I cannot get fixed. The rear luggage cover rattles.
I was wondering if anyone had actually found a solution for it.
I'm not sure if it's the internal spring mechanism or the cover moving in it's anchor points. I often find that if I take the cover out and put it back in again, the rattle is gone for a while but eventually comes back.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Stuart

yes Stuart mine is the exact same, I think it's the internal mechanism of the cover that causes it, but not 100% sure.

Hi Iain

I was sure I had seen something on here regarding instructions on how to take apart the luggage cover but I can't find the post. I fear that if I try it myself I'll end up with a spring in my eye or something.
I'm also going to try some thin padding on the are where the luggage cover rests as it definitely varies depending on when it was last adjusted. I'll let you know if I find a solution.

I've had 2 courtesy cars in the last couple of months and both have had the same rattle.

Regards,

Stuart

I've tried some padding Stuart and it didn't help.

mine seems to be affected by cornering, which either starts it or stops it !!

Hmmm

I'm tempted to take it apart then. How hard can it be (famous last words)!
