3 POINTS ON LICENCE FOR WADING

Went under our local Railway Bridge today 3 times, flooding to a depth of 12 inches.
Local council flooding sign along with a road closed sign.
All 4x4s and larger family cars were going through and had been doing so for 4 hours.
On my 4th trip I got stopped by the Police and fined £60 with 3 penalty points for disobaying a Road Traffic sign.
While he was booking me others were driving around and going through the water.
BE WARNED, if it says Road Closed, you cant go through even if it is clear. Think I will disguise my Freelander as a Duck!!! Offset your Carbon emissions by boycotting Baked Beans and all Green Vegitables.

Confused Road closed sign are there for a reason, reason been they can't be Censored towing people out, just because you could you did disobey a closed sign

3points and fine a little steep though, maybe just a warning, but if you was going back and forth playing that might have annoyed them Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I thinks others have mentioned that if you had an accident after passing a road closed sign your insurance may well be void..thinking here more about snow and ice....but water too I guess.

I lost count of the times I went through a mini flood today (see my other post). Depth was upto the bottom of the doors. A BMW 5 series followed me past the road closed sign but the 'ultimate driving machine' could not 'ultimately drive' any further Rolling with laughter

Very good Laughing
This road floods on a regular basis to a depth much deeper than today but they only normally just put the flood warning up as it is the main road out of my villiage. 1st time in 45 years that the Raod Closed sign has been up.

Look on the bright side, you could have ended up with another 3 fixed penalties for the 3 times you wern't caught.

You should have asked the Filth if they hadn't got anything better to do with their time or asked them if they were getting a cost of living indexation to their pay this year!
