Could try it. A delay is not unusual, but it is for 30 seconds. I'd take it into the garage if the reset didn't work.

Its to stop you using it as a getaway car and giving Land Rover a bad name Laughing I was only wrong once and thats when I thought I was but wasnt.

Return of fault

Back to the intermittent problem again - I guess it's an appointment with the dealers now !!

Hello M00baz00

I have the same problem. It can be ok for a week then show up again.

It would be nice to know if the dealer sorted it out for you and what the problem was.

Cheers freetwothink

I had an annoying ignition fault, too. Took ages to figure out because it didn't cause a problem every time.

It turned out that the new mats I'd put in the footwells were so thick that they were interfering with the full movement of the clutch, when starting...

No info message about depressing the clutch further, either.

Hi Guys, my problem is sorted ! I took it to the dealers and his first reaction was that I wasn't pressing the clutch down far enough when starting. I had fitted some thick 'crud catcher' type mats and once removed I had and have no further problems. I felt quite a fool really as in essence I simply wasn't flooring the clutch properly prior to operating the button. Hopes this helps

I was starting to get this with mine on occasions but found it was because I was not pressing the clutch pedal hard down all the way before pressing the button, I was pressing it down but obviously not quite far enough sometimes to operate the inhibit switching, since I made a point of pressing it hard down to the floor its started every time, touch wood, ha ha. I was only wrong once and thats when I thought I was but wasnt.
