Leaving the LR brand (for now)

After 3 1/2 years very happy motoring, we've traded in our FL2.

We've decided we need more space, and a cheaper motor to run.

After much shopping around we've settled on a Ford S-Max 163 Titanium, and placed the order today, due for collection early April. Was the only thing we both sat in, and loved.

I've loved the FL2, and so far it's been the best car I've ever owned. It's the first time I've had a car for over 3 years, and not gotten bored with it. It just doesn't give us the space we need, and fuel is costing more and more.

Unfortunately, the buying and running costs of the FL2 have now put it out of our price range, and we really need a car with more space (should have seen us on the last holiday, and it was only a mid week break, we'd never fit everything for 2 weeks in).

Would have loved a Disco3/4, for the space, but for a reasonable aged one it's way out of our league, and running costs are too much.

I'm hoping that I'll be back to the LR brand one day, have always loved them and wanted an FL for a long time, so I can't imagine it'll be too long before we're back.

I've got 2 months of 4x4 motoring left, so if anyone could make it snow, or be muddy, feel free Very Happy

Rich

The Old Coach road will be out of bounds now Sad

Well unless you need towing out again Laughing

End of the day, the required space and a fuller wallet is more important than the LR brand and happiness Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Dont blame you in honesty, but cant see myself ever having anything other the LR, but will watch the mileage.
