Warranty - Anything not covered you thought should be?

Hi,

Have had the FL2 for just over a week and the standard 3 yr warranty is about to expire. I have the choice of extending with the official LR warranty for up to two years or with a third party company (via the Austral Dealership) for up to four years and that basically has all the same cover of the official warranty.

I am thinking of going with the four year option, which is expensive but I am quite worried that something will break in the next four years that will really hamper the experience of having a nice car and will be too expensive to break.

I am particularly thinking of things like:
- Electrics such as driving controls; HDC, etc
- Electrics and motors like the fold in wing-mirrors, windows and seats etc.
- Potentially something on the running gear going prematurely (diff or similar?),
- I realise normal wear and tear (tyres, bushes, suspension, brakes, worn panels or worn interior and seats etc) are not covered

Is there anything that people have thought would be covered and found it wasn't? I have obviously read the policies, but they can often be written to bamboozle your average man. Am I paying for the a false security that won't be able to back up my wishes?

I also realise that I am bound to have no faults if I pay for the warranty and every possible fault if I don't!!!

Cheers,
Whytey

Yes - the patience of a Saint when claiming - and - the "rejection-of-claim" stress and rehabilitation costs.
