My passenger mirror has just developed a fault-it partially opens and then stops. The motor seems to be running a little quieter than the other side. Having read through previous posts lubrication can be an issue but mine seems to be more motor related. Has anyone had a mirror motor go to know if they normally completely fail or if they partially fail first?

For the position reset, am I right in thinking that you unlock the car and then push the mirror so that it is 180 degrees to the normal folded position before returning it back to the normal unfolded position?
