Found this whilst trolling around today, havn't seen it before although the site it is from would suggest it is an old image??
Certainly goes in line with the 7 seat option being banded around, given the height of the rear.

In fact if you type 'Ventura' into the Search function it will come up with lots of references to it.

It was I believe shelved so that Halewood could focus on producing the Evoque, there are rumours that it might be/is about to be resurrected but not seen or heard anything definite.

I for one would be quite interested in one if it wasn't at D4 prices.

In fact I did and as I said I hadn't seen that image, nor does it seem to appear in those threads, it seemed strange that this image seems to have appeared without been seen before.

Agree it is a different image from the usual Ventura ones.
However, the Topspeed article dates from June 2008 and talks about Ventura going into production in 2012 which I'm not sure about but happy to be proved wrong.

The picture maybe under a year old, the wheels are off the Evoque.

They may well be Evoque wheels but the photo on the Topspeed website was posted on 30 June 2008.

There is something not quite right, that picture has appeared from no where and as rchrdleigh states, the website does suggest 2008.

I like the Evoque Front. But the rear its too high for me though I would like to exchange my Freelander 2 for a 7 seater! Freelander 2 SE 4Td Izmir Blue, Dog cage for Alaskan Malamute, iphone Navigon Navigator

If you look at some of the other images of the Ventura through that well known search engine you'll see that they seem to have a smoother line, more like the Freelander than the Topspeed image which looks a bit like a D4 backend.

Crap Photoshop - if such a thing exists there certainly aren't any released photos of it.
