Heated Windscreen Washer Question

When I ordered my FL2 (Gs Auto), I added a pack (think it was called winter or climate pack something like that), but it consisted of Heated Windscreen and Heated Windscreen Washers.

Question is - what exactly is heated on the washers?

Currently at temperatures below about -2 the washers won't work becasue the actual jets have frozen, even with a high concentrate of windscreen washer fluid that states will prevent freezing down to -9.

I have read through the owners manual and there is no directive on Heated Washers.

Cheers

Only the nozzle is heated.
Therefore, if the pipes or washer bottle is frozen you still wont get 'em to work.
Your nozzle certainly wont be frozen, it's thermostatically controlled so at low temp they will be on permamently.

Hope this explains.
And a very merry christmas!! Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Frozen Nozzle

Hmmm...thats wht I thought, it would make sense for the nozzle to be heater, but i actually had to remove the ice from the nozzle.

I was able to clear the ice from the nozzle with a pin, and they worked but it just froze again.

Maybe they aint working!

Even if nozzle is heated, it is surely going to freeze up overnight. Mine failed to work at minus 10 last week; so I sprayed with windscreen de-icer. Once the engine had warmed up everything reverted to normal; but I was spending a hell of a lot on undilluted windscreen washer liquid.

The heater of the washers operates all time while an ignition is switched on. On a bonnet around the washers usually snow is thawing.

Sorry for my wry English. I began to study it recently.
I'll be thankful for your corrections of my mistakes
