Switch from Disco3

I handed back my (leased) Disco3 in July and saved up some pennies and moved over to the equally luxurious, slightly more nimble/sprightly younger brother. That and hopefully 30% better MPG.

It will be so nice to be back in a LR after the intermediate Audi A6 Avant (at least it made SWMBO realise she doesn't like "normal little" cars any more)

So order placed for TD4 Auto XS Balitc Blue hopefully all sorted out between xmas and new year

John

Personally I'd have kept the Disco and the RR!

Having been up - Disco 3 - up higher RRS?? - Then down??? FL2 HSE - Toss up between Disco and Freebie - RRS was 38 Grands worth of crap - Mind you, still have much affection for my old Disco 2. That was an LR.

We went from D3 to FL and, although situations changed a bit, the FL has never been out of it's depth. Holidays, off roading, snow, towing, comfort, it's all the car you need, unless space is a serious issue Thumbs Up Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Coudn't agree more ,FL2 pretty damn good. Been really impressed with the way it's performed in this snow and just love the luxury and capability. Yeah, space is a prob. Get rid of the large brown Lab or buy a bigger car? Nah! get a roof box then can keep car and me babe got space.

Cheers guys; two of us and the long dog so there was some guilt when I wasn't hearding friends around in the 7 seats for giggles

FL2 has really upped the quality of finish since I looked at them at the time of getting the disco too... the price has upped too mind!

Oh and dare i ask what AT tyres to buy when the normal boot wear down? Always been a BFG man; anyone know if they are available on 17" and what profile works?

Most people on here who think the FL2 is the best LR are people that haven't owned a RR or a Disco. I like the FL2, but it's not a serious contender vs. the other two.

I've owned a D3 and a FL2 and as above they are both great motors imo. I would not be seen dead in a RRS. Very Happy
