HDC impending failiure?

Started the FL2 up this morning,-5 in the garage, as it started HDC NOT AVAILABLE come up on the warning panel, then went away and did come back on. It's been fine in the cold weather so far. Does anyone know why it would do this and is it something to be worried about, I will be a little dispointed as just when you need HDC in the snow and ice it doesn't work because of the cold weather.

Been something that has been on the fl2 since launch

Cold weather you get the message, I go with the theory that oil in the haldex is thick in cold weather and the system check is too quick until the parts move and get lubed Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It seems to be a normal message you get in cold weather. If the message disapears after Freely has started there is nothing to worry about Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Thanks for your reply, Npinks reply reassures me and hopefully it's a feature and not a fault.

Mine does it as well. Sometimes if I start it straight away in the freezing weather, it also comes up HDC fault. But once running, everything is OK. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
