I never realised the seat would go up until I read about it on here. Luckily I like it in the "down" position, since it only stays "up" for a few minutes. 4+ years old, so I can't complain, but if it were new (or if I had a short body) I'd be p*d off.

Car been in at Lloyds for a week they have come back and said that the seat has faulted and that LR have said that they have to install a new seat frame .. your thoughts please ..

I heve electric seats and had them tightened once before as the seem to move a littel bit when pulling away from a standstill. The movement has come back.

I'm close to losing my waranty as it's 100.000km or 3years (whichever comes first). Car is 2 years since end of april and have don 76.000 kms so expect it to have 100k by end of the year.

Before warranty runs out I will ask them to:
1. fasten the seats again
2. place new sill where the seat belt comes out of (wears into the hole)

Anybody know some other stuff I should look out for?

Just spoken with the stealer about my seat. Apparently LR say jack the seat to max and leave for 3 hours, needless to say if you jack it to the topp hard, it wont be going anywhere in a hurry.

I told them I don't jack it to the top, and it goes down, they say if it wont go down from the top then it wont go down at all.

Needless to say i am not impressed with LR engineers.
