Maybe it is the wrong place - "maybe a bit " - but the Norwegian VW, Audi and Skoda group has just introduced a 5-year gaurantee on all new cars from 1.Jan 2011. This will also put another nail in the coffin for LR here  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

The 5 year warranty is a hot topic at Jaguar Land Rover strategy meetings. Certainly here in CH with the German Brands in residency for many years on the top of the market share leader board, when 5yrs rolls in here it will consolidate their dominance of this region. Then FL2 sales will shrink from an already very tiny number to almost off the radar - unless that is JLR respond - and in good time.

I think the FL2 held it's own by getting 2nd place in this Auto Express review.

Think of it this way, the BMW is a brand new car and only just beat the FL2 which is now 4 years old! The FL2 also beat the 2 year old Q5 and 18 month old XC60.
