When putting on my winter tyres a few weeks ago the dealer told me my regulars are close to end of life.

In normal road use I'd expect to get at least 30k miles from a set of tyres. My previous Freelander had standard fit 17 inch Continentals which I changed at 28K but they still had some life left in them. With Wranglers I'd hope for a bit more. My current Freelander also has Continental so I'll have to put up with them even though in my opinion Wranglers are better in snow. |

26,000 miles - over 3mm on fronts and over 4mm on rears - Continental 17 inchers. I'll probably change at c30,000 miles just before MOT in April |

My FL2 has done 42000 miles now, but I put the 19's on new when the car had done 21000 miles, the rears still have an equal 5mm and the fronts have 3.5mm, but they are starting to wear round the edges now so I reckon within the next 6000 miles they should need changing. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |
