Wales 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey
funny sound comming from exhaust

ive been to worcester this weekend, drove up with out stoping about 90 miles so engine ect well warmed up,pulls in to multi storey car park,and as she idles it sound like theres ball bearings ratteling in the exhaust,never heard this before,but be honest havent driven more tham 10 mile journeys for a long time,she performs no dfiferent,and when i put my foot on the end of exhaust it stops,applying a little presure,so could it be mountings Idea .got up this morn and she starts fine -10 in worc in a premire inns carpark 10am,inside by handbrake half a can off coke froze solid Shocked Shocked .started first time.drove home,with bad snow on m4 it was over 4hrs constent driving,got on my drive and no noise from exhaust Confused Confused Current: Freelander 2 GS, Orkney Grey, Factory fit privacy glass, design pack and Clearview pack. Almond Leather ,rear spoiler,rear mudflaps.my13.

Could be a loose baffle. Usually not a problem, and may be intermittent. Did have one block the pipe once though - blew the exhaust off!

Not having looked under mine recently but it could be a heat shield on the exhaust system that has got knocked and is resonating at certain revs. Question
