Sighing sound from Auto box

Here's one for you guys. Ever since I had the Freely whenever the auto box changes up from 1st to 2nd when I am accelerating gently, (most of the time at 28 mpg) there seems to be what I descibe as a sighing or gurgling sound from the vehicle. Its only from 1st to 2nd and because SWMBO is now driving it she says there is something wrong with the car. Any ideas? or is it something common to the transmission on Freely's Ralph

Mine's done it from new, dealer says it's normal, I got landrover technical involved and they say it's normal as well.
