Not here in Scandinavia where we are allowed to use studded winter tyres, maybe you are thinking of studded rally tyres It is NOT recommended to put studs in non studded winter tyres. Studded winter tyres are manufactured of a different material to retain the metal studs which are pushed in (not screwed in) and they also have a different tread pattern. They are designed to be used where most winter driving will be on icy roads and not just snowy roads. Non-studded tyres are manufactured of a softer material that grips slippery surfaces and if studs were fitted they would fall out in no time 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
