Sunroof repair update

Well, the dealer called me today to let me know an update on my LR2. Hi sir we are unable to get parts for your LR2 to repair your sunroof. The parts are not available from the vendor at this time. “What” But because you just bought your LR2 2 months ago and you bought it from us we are going to pull the parts we need from a new LR2 in inventory. “Thank You”

Wow, what if I got from another dealer or if I owned the LR2 more than a few months. What would they have said then? Why are the parts so hard to get? This seems unreal to me. I hope the parts supply gets better because this ridiculous .
