My GS 57 plate's manual said "When selected economy mode will achieve the lowest possible temperature without using the air conditioning system. This reduces power consumption and improves fuel economy." (I still have the electronic copy).

England

From what I read here every model seems different Question
If on mine I press the Econ button I now have the A/C off whch I would expect. Less power drain more mpg.
If the A/C is on when I press the Programme Button the A/C light goes out the front and rear window heaters come on and the car rapidly demists and after a couple of minutes is the glass is frost free.

Aaaahh! Could be me confusing people.Just checked the book and it's not "Economy" it's Eco. As in "Eco-system"

In other words it's the stop-start system which stops the engine when vehicle is stopped, neutral selected and clutch released.

But, both Eco. and A/C are on at same time!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
