Sunroof repair update

Well, the dealer called me today to let me know an update on my LR2. Hi sir we are unable to get parts for your LR2 to repair your sunroof. The parts are not available from the vendor at this time. “What” But because you just bought your LR2 2 months ago and you bought it from us we are going to pull the parts we need from a new LR2 in inventory. “Thank You”

Wow, what if I got from another dealer or if I owned the LR2 more than a few months. What would they have said then? Why are the parts so hard to get? This seems unreal to me. I hope the parts supply gets better because this ridiculous .

Its no quicker in the UK parts seem to be a problem, they are all being used making new cars

It is quite disheartening to know that some parts are not yet available for our LR2 at the moment
and yes it is ridiculous to know that the vendor that provided the part can't come up with said part???
I can't imagine they'll gonna dismantle that part in a new LR2 in stock

when I got my LR2 the dealership lost/misplaced the extra/other remote/key fob and I was promised that they'll find it as soon as possible.. calls were made week after week and still no avail they said they ordered it and will be shipped out soon.. after one month, called sales, service dept and customer services but still no key fob, I got so and so ask to speak with the General Manager and he told me that they placed my order in priority and will be expecting to have it in 2 weeks time

So now I look after/guard my key fob as if it's a national treasure! coz' if anything happens to it I won't be able to start my car  Do Not Follow Me...You Can't Go Where I Go!!!
