An old Indian trick is to urinate on the lock first thing in the morning, goto have a full bladder, then slowly blow hot air onto the area from a distance of an inch. |

I nipped in to my local autospares place and got some lock deicer and some cheap wd40 and gave them a liberal dose

AndyC you do keep saying it doesn't get cold over here...the diesel emulsified last winter in fuel tanks so it was lower than -15 at times. Ours didn't start for this reason when I went to it one day.

OK sorry, -15C is a bit chilly but it never used to get that cold when I lived in Bedfordshire However, many Norwegians would only start to use the term "cold" at -20C and between -25C to -35C as "cold enough" . ps - being UK bred, I hibernate from -5C 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
