Bali Blue or not?

I have been to a couple of LR dealers to view a FL2 in Bali Blue but none have had one in stock. I was thinking it was the colour of the model contained in the new brochure (see below)

but browsing the tinternet today i have come across a Range Rover in Bali Blue (see below)

These look completely different colours. I was told by one LR dealer that Bali Blue does look purple in some light but the one in the brochure looks much more blue. Which is Bali Blue? HELP!

Cadbury Blue it should have been called - looks realy flash and as you said changes colour with the light and angle - would be my choice after green and Stornoway Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

I've got bali blue, love it Smile but it should be call cadbury.

If you think of the Cadbury's dairly milk purple and add blue to it.

Looks really smart Smile suits the freelander well.

i have seen a few bali blue's around

Under the show room lights it can look nice, in the evening twilight again can look nice, but then on a sunny day it looks too purple

One of the RRS lads got one in BB, could never quite come to like it, once he owned it and swapped again soon after

His was bought and then the dealer put the Overfinch kit on it

Its very much a love or hate colour, bit like Tambora flame

I would say if you have any doubt at all about it, stay away Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Rimini Red

Hi - I'm afraid it is - went through the same thought process myself only a few weeks ago - fortunately the dealer had a couple of nearly new Bali Blue FL on the forecourt and my feeling is that in a couple of years it will be 'out of fashion' I think LR have missed a trick - their martinique blue was nicer IMO.

Went for Rimini in the end (delivery due 29th Nov) not to everyones taste but as its been a standard colour since the FL1 it must sell (and I like it!). There's always a way forward!

2011 Freelander Td4 GS 150 - Rimini Red - in its place - Better x far x 4!!

Yes, Bali it is.
As the car is made in the UK, i'd have much preferred it be called 'Cadbury' although that's not ours anymore.
Rover did have 'Wedgewood Blue' and of course 'BRG'.
Post office Red? RAF Blue? Brown Sugar? (Sir Alan on hols), Simply Red, Deep Purple? Cilla Black?
Anymore British linked suggestions? Not Pink Floyd please!

PS, Sorry to hijack your post Bow down

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Bali Blue

We love our Bali blue 2010 XS. I'm not sure I understand the "will go out of fashion" view - it's hardly an offensive colour and there have been many blue cars (in every shade) on the road ever since I can remember. Obviously, YMMV and colour choice is perhaps the most subjective decision when choosing a car. Ultimately, it depends if you like the colour or not and my FL2 make me smile every time I see it. Very Happy

seen one in the flesh this morning at a LR dealer who has the SD4 HSE with Windsor leather in Bali Blue as a demo!! Shocked

I must admit first impressions were 'iffy' but the more and more i looked the more and more i liked it - plus it stood out amongst the black, greys, dark blues, blacks, more blacks and blacks that were in the compound. took a few pics on my phone so will try and download some later.

Also saw a silver which was surprisingly nice - much nicer than i thought it would be. So looks like its between bali blue and silver now for me! And if i go for Bali Blue its a toss up if to go for a ebony or almond or even ivory interior. decisions decisions!

What I think is the problem (if it is one) with Bali Blue is that on a dull day it looks purple but if you look at noodle42's gallery picture it is blue in the sun.

Anyway here is the one i saw today in the damp!
