Try RCV (Roberts Country Vehicles) near Maidstone. They are an LR specialist. Never used them but did check prices. They were 243 quid for the first service compared with 379 quid at the dealer. See lots of their spare wheel covers around Kent area so lots of people must use them.

RCV near Paddock Wood Thumbs Up

I used them when I had an 04 Disco TD5 from new, good friendly service.
I was going to use them for the FL2 but Beadles at Sidcup price matched them and as Beadles are much nearer it made sense to use them. 09 FL2 HSE auto Lago Grey

I used RCV last February for my 3rd service, and will do the same next year. Cost was I think about £140 cheaper than main dealer and they have LR equipment and trained technicans. Service was first class.

I have just got a quote from them too for the 1st service & seems like they are reputable. Even £243 is expensive for an oil change plus polen filter. I presume on a 1st service there is also a basic check over?.

I can't work out where a main dealer gets nearly £390 from given I was told it takes 2 hours @ £100 per hour plus the 2 filters & oil?

Would it be better to just book the car in for a general oil change & simply ask them to check to see if anything was untoward? I didn't think polen filters were done till 3 years?

Strange as I started a thread asking exactly this question a few weeks ago but it mysteriously vanished! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

EV - I think the offical service includs the body & paint check required if you want to keep that side of the warranty up. If you don't use a main dealer you might choose to have that check done at a dealer c£35 I think has been mentioned before.
