Interesting post in Landyzone today.

You can tell when a thread is about a FL1 because the words 'burn it' and 'head gasket' will appear..when its a fl2 the words 'hairdresser' and 'gay' are most common.

Have found with Landyzone, if you don't have a Defender your not welcome, not sure if it's a Landrover Defender or ear Defenders, the two do go together though. They could rename it from Landyzone to Defenderzone to save the confusion.

I agree - A stupid forum. I joined up prior to getting my FL2 thinking the members would be enthusiastic about it & the spec & all I got was slagging off so i don't bother with it now!!

As a member of landyzone..i thought i would just like to say... you are more than welcome regardless of whether you own a defender or FL .... we on lz have banter... and do not take things seriously... which i seem to have read in the short time ive been on here a certain thread statin FL are a hairdressers car.. that is no different to what we say on LZ.. so is it ok to call em a hairdressers car on here but not on any other forum?

The original post makes the comment that on LZ they are referred to as Hairdresser cars, has Hairdresser been registere for sole use by LZ
I am also a member on LZ but rarely visit the site and don't think I have contributed to it for over two years now may even be three years, when I had a Disco, but the persecution was rife then if some one posted they had a problem with their Freelander you could predict the replies that would be posted, "Buy a proper 4x4" or "This is for real Landrover drivers", "Serves you right for buyng a Gaylander" was another and they are just the polite ones, the ones about sex and travel just for having a Freelander were insulting, it was supposed to be for all Green Oval enthusiasts not just for mud pluggers.

Well I say 'I' somebody joined up using my user name funnyily enough it was the same times as somebody was banned from here

But It common that one group to have banter about another, just like people say the D3 is a van or the RRS is a drug dealer or footballers car etc
