Enjoy your new car. Possibly the best thing that could have happened to the Freelander 2 is that it isn`t built at Solihull!! (Based on the reports of when BMW first looked around the Solihull plant after they bought it) nicam Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly! |

Hi Yamaha-Fan, Your new motor my friend was made in Liverpool at the Halewood plant, previously Ford plant. So if your car could talk it would probably say ' Ey Ey, yoo Geeermans Bombed ar' chippies in the war!'. Which is what my Liverpudlian mother constantly reminds me of - yawn yawn!! As per the comedian Stan Boardman. You better watch your wallet too!! You can take the car out of Liverpool but you cannot take the Liverpudlian out of the car |

Thank you for the advise. So I direct my respect to the Halewood team, which did a good job on my car and hopefully on all other Freely's too.

Especially the ranting and raving about it being so good for a vehicle that can truely go offroad. Although not direct comparison I can safely say that the FL2 is far better than the 2007 models of Toyota Landcruiser + Fortuner, Ford Expedition + Explorer, Nissan Pathfinder and the worst of the worst the Hummer H3 (Underpowered and really does drive like a large ship).....and not only on-road but probably off-road if the reports are to be beleived. FL2 gets a big |
